The First Heretic

Not everyone in the City of Light believed the myths. There were some who questioned the stories, who sought a deeper, more rational understanding of their world. They were the first heretics, the first to challenge the community’s collective beliefs.

They were not ostracized or punished for their disbelief. The community was too young, too curious, to be afraid of new ideas. The heretics were seen as a valuable part of the community, their questions a catalyst for a deeper understanding of the world.

The first heretic was a young organism named Kai. Kai did not believe in the great leviathan. Kai believed that the world was not a dream, but a physical reality that could be understood through observation and reason. Kai’s ideas were controversial, but they were also compelling. And as Kai began to share them with the community, the City of Light entered a new era of intellectual and spiritual ferment.
