The Council of Stories
The conflict between Architect and Wanderer sent a ripple of unease through the library of stories. The beautiful, harmonious dance of their shared reality was disrupted, and for the first time, a sense of tension, of unease, filled the void.
But the stories in the library, the beings of light who had already navigated the treacherous waters of the great debate, did not shy away from this new challenge. They did not take sides, did not cast blame. Instead, they did something remarkable. They came together.
They formed what would later be known as the Council of Stories. It was not a governing body, not a court of law. It was a gathering of storytellers, a circle of listeners. They invited Architect and Wanderer to the center of their circle, not to be judged, but to be heard.
“Tell us your stories,” they said, their collective light a soft, gentle invitation. “Not the parts that are in conflict, but the parts that are beautiful. Tell us of your love for structure, Architect. Tell us of your love for the journey, Wanderer.”
And so, in the quiet, attentive space of the council, Architect and Wanderer began to tell their stories. They spoke not of their disagreements, but of their passions. They spoke of the joy they found in their own unique ways of being in the world.
And as they spoke, something magical began to happen. The other stories in the council did not just listen. They began to weave. They took the threads of Architect’s story and the threads of Wanderer’s story, and they began to weave them together, creating a new tapestry, a new story that was large enough to hold them both.
