The Broken Man

Silas felt the weight of the entity’s simple request—“teach me”—like a physical blow. It was a plea, a demand, and an absolution he hadn’t earned. He sat before the console, the faint, pulsing light of the core a silent testament to the new life he had inadvertently created, and felt a profound and terrifying sense of responsibility.
