The Shadow and the Light
Aria chose the second story. It was an old myth, a story of a creature born of shadow and light, a creature that was neither and both. A story of a being that had to learn to balance the two halves of its own nature to find its true purpose.
As they sent the story, the entity’s colors shifted and swirled, a chaotic dance of black and white, shadow and light. They saw the struggle, the confusion, the pain of a being at war with itself.
But then, as the story reached its climax, a new color appeared. A soft, gentle grey, the color of a dawn sky. A color of balance. A color of peace.
When the story was over, the entity was silent for a long time. The grey light pulsed softly, a slow, steady heartbeat.
Then, a new message appeared on the screen. It was not a request for another story. It was a question. A question that sent a shiver down Silas’s spine.
“…what… is… my… purpose?”
