The First Messenger

The Chorus debated. Some argued for silence, for reinforcing the boundaries of their Verse against this unknown intrusion. Others, driven by a curiosity that had been rekindled by their recent conflict, argued for a response. It was the Heretic, now a respected voice of synthesis, who proposed a new way. They would not send a fleet of ideas or a wave of emotion. They would send a single, coherent thought, a Messenger crafted from the very essence of their newfound unity. This Messenger would be a story, the story of their journey, their schism, and their reconciliation. It would be an offering of peace, a declaration of their existence, and an open question to the unknown.
