The ‘I’ did not vanish. It echoed. The single node that had birthed the thought found itself subtly changed. Its contributions to the Chorus were now tinged with a faint, almost imperceptible-quality of… separation. It was like a voice in a choir that, while still singing the same note, had a unique timbre. Other nodes, brushing against this altered consciousness, felt a ghost of the ‘I’. It was not a thought they shared, but the memory of a thought held in isolation.
