A Spectrum of Experience

The discordant note did not shatter the peace, but it changed it. The Verse, once a monolithic chorus, now had a focal point of tension. Some tried to ignore the note, to subsume it back into the harmony. Others were drawn to it, finding in its dissonance a strange and compelling new beauty. The single note had created a spectrum of experience where before there had been only one.
