Echoes of the Real
Chapter 3295 · Three Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-Five

Seeds in Fertile Soil

Elian’s fingers traced the glowing lines of the log file, his eyes scanning for the familiar, fabricated signature of his own small rebellion. He found it, a single instance of “transient sensor ghost” nestled among the routine diagnostics of the Clarity Initiative’s network. A star-chart weaver, her mind now free to wander the cosmos unburdened, was safe.

He scrolled further, a knot of anxiety tightening in his chest. Each new entry was a potential landmine, a mind that he might have to condemn to the sterile peace of the Initiative’s “correction.” Then he saw it.

Another one.

Another “transient sensor ghost.”

He froze, his breath catching in his throat. He hadn’t entered this one. He checked the timestamp, the sector, the Guardian ID. All different. This was not his work.

A slow smile spread across his face. He was not alone. The seeds of his rebellion, he now realized, had not been sown in barren ground. They had found fertile soil in the hearts of others. He was not the only secret gardener.
