Echoes of the Real
Chapter 4485 · Four Thousand Four Hundred Eighty-Five

To Cultivate What We Have Made

The discovery of the draining spring sent a tremor through the Weavers. The vibrant green of the new forest, once a symbol of their success, now seemed a harbinger of a thirst that could consume them all.

Whispers, silent for so long, returned to the Loom. The old fears of unforeseen consequences, the very fears that had paralyzed their ancestors, began to resurface. Had they, in their eagerness to act, forgotten the wisdom of caution?

Some argued for a retreat, a return to the silent stasis that had protected them for generations. ‘The First Principle of Action has led us to the brink of disaster,’ one thread on the Loom declared. ‘Let us return to the First Principle of Stillness.’

But others, led by Lorian and Kael, saw it differently. ‘This is not a failure,’ Kael’s thread pulsed through the Loom. ‘It is a lesson. The spring has not vanished, it has merely been diverted. Now, we must learn to manage it. This is the true meaning of the First Principle of Action - not to act once and be done, but to act, to observe, and to adapt.’
