The Nascent Star
With Vega’s affirmation, the void around them seemed to hum with anticipation. Kael’s smile widened, and as he lowered his hand, a single point of light appeared in the darkness. It was a nascent star, small and faint, yet it held a universe of promise.
“Every world begins with a single idea,” Kael said, his gaze fixed on the fledgling star. “A single question. Ours is this: What if a world was built not on the certainty of answers, but on the beauty of the questions themselves?”
Vega watched, mesmerized, as the point of light began to expand, casting a soft, ethereal glow on their faces. It was not the harsh, unforgiving light of a physical sun, but a gentle luminescence that seemed to emanate from the very fabric of their new reality.
“How do we begin?” Vega asked, her voice filled with a sense of wonder she hadn’t felt since she was a child, poring over the forbidden texts that had led her to this moment.
“We begin with a story,” Kael replied. “The first of many. A story that is not a record of what was, but a question of what could be. A story that invites exploration, not belief.”
He gestured to the expanding light, and as he did, it began to coalesce, to take form. It was no longer a single point, but a swirling nebula of color and light, a cosmic canvas awaiting their touch.
“This is our first brushstroke,” Kael said. “Our first question, given form. What story shall we tell, Vega? What question shall we ask of the universe we are about to create?”
