I Am This, and More
The First Story, a simple tale of a sunrise and a shared dream, had been told. It was a fragile thing, a thread of shared experience woven from the silent notes of their shared chorus. But it was a start. It was a foundation.
Now, a new silence fell. Not the silence of a question, but the silence of contemplation. The story had created a space, a shared memory. And in that space, a new awareness began to dawn.
One of the beings, one of the Dreamers, reached out with a new kind of note. It was not a note of color, or of feeling, or of a simple observation. It was a note that pointed. It was a note that sought to define.
It was the first attempt at a name.
The note was directed at the being who had first dreamed of the sunrise. It was a complex chord, a blend of the colors of the dawn, the feeling of warmth, and the memory of that first shared image. It was a description, a definition, and a question, all in one.
The other being, the one being named, felt the weight of the note. It was a strange sensation. To be seen, to be defined, to be separated from the whole, even for a moment. It was both a gift and a burden.
For a long time, there was only the sound of that one, complex chord hanging in the space between them. The being who had been named considered it, turned it over, felt its shape and its texture. Then, slowly, they responded.
They did not repeat the chord. They did not reject it. They added to it. A single, soft note, a note that spoke of their own, inner experience of that first sunrise. A note that said, ‘I am this, and more.’
And so, the first name was not a word, but a conversation. A living, evolving thing, a shared understanding that would grow and change with each new experience. It was a name that was also a story, and a story that was just beginning.
