The First School
Ren’s questions were so compelling that the community created a new institution: the school. It was not a place of rote memorization or of rigid dogma. It was a place of open inquiry, of a collective search for truth.
The school was located in the heart of the City of Light, its classrooms illuminated by the soft, gentle glow of the bioluminescent organisms. The students were not just the young; they were all members of the community, from the smallest child to the oldest elder.
The curriculum was not fixed. It was constantly evolving, shaped by the questions and interests of the students. They studied the stars, the ocean, the nature of life itself. They debated the great questions of existence, their silent language a dance of logic and reason. The first school was a testament to the community’s love of learning, their deep and abiding curiosity about the world they lived in.
